Located nearly 50 km far from Halong city, a pristine and not yet well known island named Ngoc Vung will be an attractive destination for travellers to Halong Bay in the years to come
It will take you well over two hours riding from Van Don Harbour to Ngoc Vung. As travellers set their feet on the island, it welcomes you with radiant sunshine. For years, Ngoc Vung has been mentioned besides other islands of Quang Ninh such as Co To Island or Quan Lan Island but unlike other well-known names, Ngoc Vung Island has not yet developed much tourism services. On Ngoc Vung Island, there are just about 1,000 residents inhabited concentrated in a small village. To visit their lovely village, there is nothing better than a cycling trip around little houses. For those who travel to Halong in group, I highly recommend you to hire a Xe lam (a unique vehicle on the island which is a tiny, three-wheeled truck) to go around the village, price is reasonable so you do not have to worry about dual pricing
